BIOGRAPHY

Jos Torres. He was born on January 8, 1983 in the city of Morelia, Michoacán, Mexico. An architect by profession and a musician by passion, he began to play the guitar at the age of 13, influenced by his grandfather Feliciano Torres Galván, through the years he met various teachers who were influencing his way of interpreting and executing the instrument, Among the professors, Miguel Villicaña and Oz Noy stand out, the latter who considerably influences their technique and musical vision.

 

The activity that he has developed during his career has led him to perform on different stages in Mexico, the United States and England, as well as carry out different collaborations for musicians and various artistic projects.

 

Since he was 16 years old and throughout his musical career he has had the opportunity to share the stage with various artists such as Ruben Albarrán from Café Tacuba, Reyli Barba, among others.

He currently works as a guitarist for the Alfil group, as well as independently in different musical projects.

 

Influenced by the genres of Blues, Funk and Jazz, Jos is currently making his first album entitled "Jos Torres Electric Trio" where he is accompanied by Fernando Mendoza on Drums and Iván Lara on Electric Bass.
